Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow was established in 1996. The jurisdiction of residential University is over the entire state of Uttar Pradesh. The campus Vidya Vihar is located off Rae Bareli Road, about 10 kms south of the Charbagh Railway Station, Lucknow. The University is a member of The Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
