AMU Medical Entrance Exams 2015
The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a premier Central University offering medical courses such as Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) and Bachelor of Radiation Therapy Technology (BRTT). The varsity conducts an entrance examination known as the "Common Admission Test (CAT)" for admission into MBBS/BDS courses in Jawaharlal Nehru (J.N.) Medical College and Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad (Z.A.) Dental College.
The AMU Combined Admission Test (CAT) is held for admission to its M.B.B.S. and B.D.S programs.
Candidates interested in B.D.S. can also apply to M.B.B.S. on the same application form without paying any additional test fee. But make sure to mark your choices in order of your preference.

Exam pattern
3 hour objective type paper, 200 marks, 200 questions on Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology.
Eligibility
You can apply for both MBBS & BDS if you have secured at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) and also have passed your class 12th (senior secondary school certificate) exams with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. You must not be less than 17 years (as of 31 Dec, the year of your admission)

Eligibility
You can apply for BRTT if you have secured at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) in your class 12th (senior secondary school certificate) exams.
Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery
Number of seats: 19 for women, 1 for men
Entrance exam: 29 April, 2015; 4 pm

Last date to receive application form: 21 March, 2015
Exam pattern
2 hour objective type paper, 100 marks:
(a) English & General Knowledge : 30 marks
(b) Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics : 30 marks
(c) Biology : 40 marks
Eligibility
You can apply for Diploma in Nursing if you have secured at least 40% in your class 12th (senior secondary school certificate) exams in either of:
(i) Science/Arts Stream with English Core/English Elective
(ii) Health care Science - Vocational stream only.
(iii) Vocational ANM
You should be between 17-35 years old.
Note: Candidates registered as an ANM (auxiliary nurse midwife) with the State Nursing Registration Council is also eligible. No age bar for ANM candidates.
