Shobhit University Admission Procedure

This section gives the details of admission procedure of various courses in Shobhit University.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)
(B.Tech. Four Years Full Time)

  • Admission in the B.Tech. course will be through the Central Counselling Board (CCB) of AIEEE-2011, a body constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India.
  • Those candidates who are not participating in CCB of AIEEE 2011 but have appeared in AIEEE 2011 are welcome to apply on the prescribed Application Form for consideration against vacant / lapsed seats, if any.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)
(Lateral Entry - B.Tech. Three Years Full Time)


  • Admission/Selection in the B.Tech. program at the second year/ third semester level will be based on an academic merit and interview.
  • Girl candidates / Wards of Defence Persons/ Candidates from J&K and North East states shall be given an additional weightage of 5%.
  • The University may prescribe compensatory courses to make up deficiencies for diploma holders, who are admitted through lateral entry.
  • The University may exempt B.Sc. degree holders from science courses and other relevant courses at the second year level and prescribe compensatory courses to makeup deficiencies.

Candidates having 75% or above marks in B.Sc. or Diploma will be directly offered a seat.

Master of Technology(M.Tech.)

Admission Procedure

  • Admission is based on the Academic Merit and Personal Interview / Group Discussion.
  • The Personal Interview will be conducted at University Campus.
  • Candidates with valid GATE Score are given preference.
  • Candidates with teaching experience would be preferred.    
  • Girl candidates / Wards of Defence Persons/ Candidates from J&K and North East states shall be given an additional weightage of 5%
  • The University reserves the right to withhold / withdraw any offered program, if minimum stipulated number of candidates are not selected.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

(MBA Two Years Full Time)

  • Shobhit University uses CAT/MAT for Short listing candidates for all the programs. Candidate has to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by the IIMs / Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by AIMA.
  • Foreign/NRI/PIO applicants can apply by submitting GMAT scores.
  • Final selection shall be based on performance in the CAT/GMAT/MAT and subsequent Group Discussion and personal Interview.
  • Girl candidates / Wards of Defence Persons/ Candidates from J&K and North East states shall be given an additional weightage of 5%.

Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.)
(M.Pharm. - Two Years Full Time)

Admission Procedure

  • The admission shall be made through an entrance test, followed by personal interview. Due weightage will be given to B.Pharm. percentage, experience etc.
  • The entrance test, interviews shall be conducted by Shobhit University at its campus.
  • Girl candidates / Wards of Defence Persons/ Candidates from J&K and North East states shall be given an additional weightage of 5%.

Candidates fulfilling the minimum laid down qualifications will have to undertake Ph.D. Entrance test conducted by Shobhit University. Successful candidates will have to undergo for personal interview.

Note : Candidates who have qualified in GATE/ SLET/ UGC/ CSIR (JRF) examination will be exempted from the University entrance test, however they will have to appear for personal interview only.
