Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology was established in 1975 as the 3rd Agricultural University of the state and named after a great national leader, educationist, philosopher and great socialist, Achraya Narendra Deva.

The main campus of the university, Narendra Nagar, Kumarganj, situated in a typical rural surrounding at a distance of 42 km. from Faizabad.
