Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut is one of the premier educational institutions of the country. The University has been awarded with a B+ certification by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It was formerly known as Meerut University. It was was established in 1966, to cater to the needs of higher education in western Uttar Pradesh. The University is well-equipped laboratories and advanced facilities. It has separate engineering college, which is currently offering courses leading to B.Tech. degree in several different branches of engineering.
