The Aligarh Muslim University is a premier Central University offering courses in MBBS and BDS. The varsity conducts Entrance Examination i.e. Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission into MBBS/BDS courses in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College. AMU CAT 2012 Application Form

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will conduct MBBS / BDS Entrance Exam on 27 May 2012, application forms are likely to be used with in next week. Application forms will be available both online & offline, the last date for receiving completed application forms is 24 March 2012.

AMU MBBS / BDS entrance test will be held in Aligarh, Lucknow, Bhopal, Kolkata, Kozikode, Srinagar and Hyderabad. The cost of application form will be Rs 300/-

Candidates must have the Cash Receipt/Demand Draft of requisite amount (Rs. 300) in favour of Finance Officer, AMU, Payable at Aligarh with him as candidates are barred to proceed further without filling up the Test Fee/Processing Charges Column.  The Drafts should preferably be from the Nationalized Banks.

AMU CAT 2012 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Not less than 17 years as on 31st December, 2007.
No relaxation shall be made in the age limit under any circumstances.

Minimum Qualification: The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination/Pre-Medical Examination of this University or an examination recognized by the University as its equivalent in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination.

Further the candidate must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of competitive entrance examination by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the competitive examination.

AMU CAT 2012 Exam Pattern

1. The medium of the common admission test for admission into MBBS/BDS is English.
2. The general standard of the test will be that of the qualifying examination.
3. All questions in Admission Test of Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be of objective type.

Selection for admission to MBBS/BDS course is made according to the preferences indicated by the candidate in his/her Application Form and the rank in the written test.
